Claims Process

You will be pleased to know that SWPA provides professional and efficient service and always places the needs of our clients first. Here is what you can expect from your Public Adjuster:
⦁ Meets with insured to assess damages and viability of a claim
⦁ Sign contracts and collect copies of insurance documents
⦁ Copies of policies with endorsement, past claim information, current claim information
⦁ Some information may have to be requested from your insurance company
⦁ SWPA will complete a detailed inspection of property and take photos to document damages
⦁ SWPA will get repair estimates for specialty items such as HVAC, swimming pool repair or electrical issues
⦁ SWPA will open, or re-open, the claim with your insurance company
⦁ SWPA will provide any necessary documentation to your insurance company, and request another inspection of the property
⦁ SWPA will accompany your insurance agent back to the property to re-evaluate damages
⦁ Your insurance company’s insurance adjuster will create a new estimate
⦁ SWPA will negotiate with your insurance company to properly indemnify your claim
⦁ SWPA will discuss the new settlement with you, the insured
⦁ SWPA will work with your insurance company to get new proceeds distributed to you in a timely fashion
⦁ SWPA will teach you how to get “recoverable depreciation” if you have a Replacement Cost Value (RCV) policy
⦁ SWPA will discuss other options with you and your insurance company if the claim is denied or underpaid
